Meursault doesn’t seem to care about anything. His mom dies and he worries about getting work off. He sleeps the entire way on the bus ride there. When he gets to his mother’s casket it is closed. The caretaker offers to open it but Meursault tells him not to bother. On the way home, he sleeps the whole way. Meursault is a protagonist. He also seems stoic. He ignores emotion and is super anti-social.
